April 22: Final weekend ride

Just a four hour ride this weekend. I thought I'd try to go somewhere new, so I aimed for a spot in the northwest. I set up the bike with all the gear (because why not). The weather is getting slightly warmer, I didn't need my jersey for the first time.

The trip back went along a lot of routes I was familiar with. The approach to Westergasfabriek was the same as the trip to Haarlem, weeks ago. It followed the canal contour around central Amsterdam, which was the route I went home when my cellphone ran out of battery after the trip around the airport. The ride to Nesciobrug is how I rode home from work, back in the day.

This is the last training ride, after this I need to take the bike apart and fit it into the bike box, and split up all the gear into hold and carryon luggage for the plane trip.

Next ride is in Portugal. Definitely won't need the jersey there!
